Ready to learn how to sew and make a cool bag in the process? This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for you! You'll get hands-on experience with a sewing machine and learn some fun techniques along the way.

What You'll Learn

• Threading a machine: You'll master the basics of setting up your machine so you can get started on your projects.

• Surface design: Get creative with decorative stitches to add a unique flair to your fabric.

• Creating handles: Learn how to attach webbing to make sturdy handles for your new bag.

Workshop Details

All materials are included, so you don't need to worry about a thing! The cost is $50 per student.

Don't have a sewing machine? No problem! We have machines available for you to use. Just let us know when you register if you'll be bringing your own machine or using one of ours.

Meet Your Instructor

Malissa Long is a fashion designer and fiber artist with over 40 years of sewing experience and 20 years of teaching. Her impressive background includes showcasing her work at multiple fashion weeks and galleries. She has also worked in various production roles, including garment, drapery, and military and aircraft sewing. Malissa is passionate about sharing her skills and has dedicated her time to teaching sewing to others.
